Dining and Drinks
Charlene’s Theater Bar and upstairs in the Mezzanine Level Bar and VIP areas.
Directly across the street from the theater, you’ll find Exferimentation Brewing Company, where the resident mad scientists spend countless hours in the lab perfecting recipes and pushing the boundaries of what beer can be. “We look forward to sharing our exclusive craft brews with you in our relaxed tasting room or filling your growler with something to remember.”
Fillmore 13 Brewery is the long awaited “beer child” of owner Lee Roumaya. Lee has worked in the industry for nearly three decades and finally decided to create his own concept of what a craft brewery should be. Lee’s culinary passion drives Fillmore 13 Brewery to constantly create excellence in food, drink and service. “Our bar and lounge areas were designed for our guests to provide an atmosphere of comfort…where anyone can relax, talk, eat and drink!”
More than 2,100 parking spaces exist within a three-minute walk of the theater. The spaces are well lit, privately managed, clean and safe.
Downtown Pontiac is Oakland County’s most accessible city. Some 4.5 million people reside within a 40 minute radius and 2 million people are within a 20 minute drive. Woodward Avenue, M-59, I-75, and Telegraph Road are all major feeders into the downtown district.
Statistics show that downtown Pontiac is one of Oakland County’s safest communities. Patrolled by the Oakland County Sheriff, private security firms and downtown resident McLaren Oakland Hospital, the city is safe and has seen a 30% decrease in crime. For most events, The Flagstar Strand is staffed with a doorman as well as greeters both inside and outside the theater to provide assistance and support for guests. The Flagstar Strand Theatre is located in the heart of city’s historic restaurant and retail district which is lined with charming buildings, a decorative streetscape and beautiful landscaping. This traditional “main street” setting is welcoming to diners, shoppers and theater goers.
